On July 11, 2012, 26-year-old Jape Brockman was found dead on Detroit’s west side near the intersection of Warwick Street and West Chicago, in the 19100 block of West Chicago. Detroit Police responded to the scene that Wednesday and treated the location as a crime scene while investigators canvassed the area for witnesses and any surveillance that might explain why Brockman was killed.
