Brian A. Limoli, 31, was fatally shot during a home invasion at his Canton, Ohio residence on September 11, 2018. The intruder, Clifford D. Walters Jr., entered the house in the 8800 block of Cleveland Avenue NW reportedly looking for money and shot Limoli after being confronted. Limoli’s significant other, Fanniecia Brewer, hid their two children in a closet during the break-in and later testified about the traumatic incident.

The case proceeded to trial. DNA evidence on the gun was presented linking Walters to the crime; he was convicted of aggravated murder and related charges and sentenced to 42 years to life. The trial record includes Walters’ prior convictions for attempted murder and aggravated burglary and a defense claim that he had been set up by Brewer, a claim the jury rejected. Limoli’s family has said the loss and its aftereffects remain profound.

Did anyone in the Canton area know Brian Limoli or have information about the events that night?
