Roberta R. John, 64, of Canton, Ohio, was killed on June 12, 2017, in a double homicide at her home. A retired Director of Special Services for Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools, she was active in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church and the Osnaburg Historical Society and is survived by two sons, Todd Pincombe and Brant Pincombe, among other relatives.

Reports say the couple’s longtime family friend George C. Brinkman was housesitting while they were on vacation. When Roberta and her husband arrived and argued with Brinkman, he shot and beat them both and fled with about $140 in cash. The Stark County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brinkman early the next day.

Roberta’s family and community were deeply affected by the killings. If anyone knew the Johns, their routines, or had information about the events around June 12, 2017, please come forward with what you remember.
