Ricardo Debrossard, 33, was shot dead on April 15, 2017, at a residence in Euclid, Ohio, where he had been living for a few months. The shooting followed a confrontation with Mathew Adkins, identified as the estranged husband of Ricardo’s wife, Tenesha. According to Tenesha’s testimony, Adkins had returned and spoken with her in his vehicle; Ricardo emerged from the house, approached the vehicle and punched Adkins in the face. Tenesha said Adkins then drew a gun and shot Ricardo in the head.
Mathew Adkins was arrested and charged with murder and felonious assault. The case went to trial and Adkins was convicted on both counts; an appeal was filed and the conviction was later affirmed. The events raise questions about how the escalating conflict reached lethal violence and whether earlier interventions might have prevented it.
Does anyone have information about Ricardo, the residence where he was living, or witnesses to the confrontation?
