On February 16, 2012, 48-year-old Walter Holliday, a Black man, was found fatally wounded at Grace Harper Florist in the 9300 block of Woodward Avenue in Detroit. The site sits along a busy commercial stretch near the North End and Boston Edison neighborhoods. Detroit Police Department Homicide Unit investigated the matter, and Holliday’s death was recorded among a larger rise in homicides the city experienced that year.

Records from the period do not list a named arrest or conviction tied to Holliday’s slaying, and the case remained without a publicly documented resolution. Did anyone in the area that night see something that could help bring answers about what happened to Walter Holliday?
