Joshua Haber was 19 when he was killed in a February 25, 2017 shooting outside a home on State Route 46 in Howland, Ohio. He was one of two men who died that night; 20-year-old Joshua Williams was also killed. Three other people were wounded: April Vokes, 43; John Shivley, 17; and 20-year-old Bryce Hendrickson, who later died of an apparent drug overdose.

The group had reportedly gone to the residence of Nasser Hamad to confront him over a dispute involving his girlfriend, who was Hendrickson’s mother. Hamad was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated murder and six counts of attempted aggravated murder; he was found guilty on October 31, 2017, and given a 30 years to life sentence. His attorneys argued for a lesser charge and raised claims of post-traumatic stress disorder during appeals, which were denied.

The shootings and the deaths of Haber and Williams left families and the community grieving. If anyone has information about the events that night or knew Joshua Haber, please share what you remember.
