Joshua Kyle Williams, 20, of Warren, Ohio, was killed on February 25, 2017, after being shot five times in the chest and abdomen. His death was one of two homicides in a mass shooting in Howland, Ohio; the other victim, Josh Haber, 19, also from Warren, was fatally shot once. Both deaths were ruled homicides by the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office.
According to an affidavit, Joshua and four others had driven in a minivan to the home and business of 47-year-old Nasser Hamad on State Route 46. A fistfight reportedly occurred between 17-year-old John Shively and Hamad in Hamad’s front yard. After the fight, Hamad allegedly went inside, retrieved a handgun, and opened fire on the five people who had returned to the van. Joshua’s mother, Kristen Hendrickson Williams, said he had no involvement in the feud and was visiting distant relatives.
Joshua’s family remembered him as kind-hearted with a love for the outdoors and music. Does anyone have information about Joshua, his activities that day, or details that could add to the timeline of events?
