Tahani Mansour, 27, was fatally shot in Rocky River, Ohio, on September 27, 2016. The shooting occurred in the early hours after a domestic dispute reportedly about Tahani not cleaning her room and not following her father’s house rules. Her father, 64-year-old Jamal Mansour, initially called the shooting an accident but later admitted during his trial that he shot his daughter in her sleep, saying he believed it would teach her respect.
Jamal Mansour was arrested and charged with murder, felonious assault, and domestic violence. The court heard that this was the first homicide in Rocky River in over 16 years. Tahani was remembered as a bright, accomplished woman who graduated from Rocky River High School, earned a doctor of pharmacy degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University, worked as a clinical pharmacist and taught at the University of Findlay and the medical school.
Does anyone have information about Tahani’s life in Rocky River or knew the family that could shed light on what led to this tragedy?
