Larry S Hannah, 47, of Alexandria, Ohio, was found dead on Jug Street on May 15, 2016. His body was partially decomposed and an autopsy showed a gunshot wound to the head; investigators estimated he had been deceased for several weeks before discovery.

Deputies opened a murder investigation. On July 19, 2016, Hannah’s girlfriend, 31-year-old Bobbi Proehl, was arrested and charged with murder after acknowledging she played a direct role in his death. The Licking County Sheriff’s Office said additional charges were possible and investigators were still determining whether others were involved. This was the county’s first murder investigation of 2016.
