Jonathan Hofner, 28, of Montpelier, Ohio, was killed on October 10, 2015 in a violent incident that involved another man, Bradly Gilbert. Gilbert, 22 at the time and also from Montpelier, admitted to killing Hofner and led police to Hofner’s body, which was located near a bike path. He was arrested out of state on unrelated charges in North Carolina and later returned to Ohio to face nine counts including aggravated murder, kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and theft.

Gilbert was held on $2 million bond pending arraignment in Williams County Common Pleas Court while the Lucas County Coroner’s Office assisted in determining cause of death. Reports say the two men knew one another but give no clear motive for the killing. No arrest besides Gilbert has been reported.

Did anyone in Montpelier know Jonathan or have information about his last movements?
