Margaret Peggy Kostelnik, 60, of Chardon, Ohio, was found dead in her home on Ravenna Road on July 27, 2015. She worked as an assistant to the mayor of Willoughby and spent 27 years with the city’s Community Development Department and Airport Commission. She was active with Greyhound Adoption of Ohio and was remembered for her love of animals.

A manhunt that day centered on 35-year-old Juan Emmanuel Razo, who had been accused of attempted rape of a 14-year-old girl earlier that day and of shooting a mother who was walking with her children on the Greenway bike path near Kostelnik’s home. Razo was later arrested and charged; he was indicted on multiple counts, including aggravated murder in Kostelnik’s death. Grief counselors were made available in the community after the killings.

Does anyone who knew Peggy or who was in the area that day have information that could shed light on what happened?
