Bobby Jerome Walker III, 28, was fatally shot on February 13, 2015, in Whitehall, Ohio. His body was found in a hallway outside a second-floor apartment at the Yearling Green Apartments on Rickenbacker Avenue after residents reported hearing gunshots. Walker had been involved in a drug-related dispute: an investigation found he had taken a half-pound of marijuana from Justis A. Younger and left without paying.

Younger, 26 and from North Side, was located as part of the inquiry. He admitted being present at the scene and at an earlier incident in which he held four people at gunpoint in the 800 block of South Hamilton Road while searching for Walker. He initially denied involvement in Walker’s death but later pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter with a gun specification in March 2016; several more serious charges were dismissed under a plea agreement. On May 12, 2016, Judge Chris Brown sentenced Younger to 13 years in prison.
