Lorrene Debra Reynolds, 29, was last seen at her home on Hilldale Drive in Columbus, Georgia, on June 21, 1985. A native of California who moved to Georgia while her husband was in the military, she worked as a Mary Kay sales consultant and was known to frequent Al Who’s Night Club in Columbus. Friends and family said she took pride in her appearance; when last seen she wore pearl stud earrings.
Months after the disappearance, Lorrene’s 1979 silver and black Mazda RX7 was recovered parked at the Atlanta Marriott Hotel near Hartsfield Airport on February 1, 1986. Investigators reported no evidence that she had boarded a flight, and how the car came to be at the airport and what happened to Lorrene after June 21 remain unknown. The Columbus Police Department and the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division keep the case open, and the Army CID is offering a substantial reward for credible information leading to her recovery or an arrest.
Does anyone who knew Lorrene, saw her car in Atlanta in early 1986, or has information about her movements in late June 1985 contact the agencies handling the case? It could help bring answers to her family and friends.
