Reading about Tim's case really got me thinking about how differently things were handled back in the '60s. It's so tragic that someone as innocent as Tim had to encounter such evil while just trying to enjoy a day of fishing. What stands out to me is the fact that Stanley Rice kept a diary of his crimes. How chilling is that? The idea that he cataloged his horrific acts is terrifying and just adds another layer of horror to this already heartbreaking case. I can't begin to imagine the pain the Trask family went through, especially having to learn the details from such a gruesome confession two years later. It makes me wonder if there were potential red flags people might have missed about Rice in the communities he drifted through. I hope, somehow, sharing these details helps other people understand the monsters that can lurk among us. Keeping Tim’s memory alive is important, and my deepest sympathies go out to anyone who knew him. It's vital to talk about these cases, learn from them, and protect one another.
