Edward Bo Fomby Jr., 38, of Buffalo, was found dead outside a residence in Bradford, Pennsylvania, on May 29, 2022, from apparent gunshot wounds. According to reports, an argument took place between Fomby and a resident before the shooting; threats to use a firearm were made and the suspect reportedly fired what were described as warning shots before the fatal shooting. The district attorney has been investigating the circumstances and whether the shooting was justified under Pennsylvania use of force laws, and an autopsy on Fomby was reported as pending.
Frederick Ricky Camejo was identified in connection with the shooting; he was arrested and later convicted for Fomby’s death, and sentenced to serve at least 22.5 years in prison. The incident occurred over Memorial Day weekend in 2022 and has drawn significant attention locally.
Anyone who witnessed the events leading up to the shooting or has information that could help investigators is asked to come forward.
