Travorious Gudger, a 20-year-old from Apalachicola, Florida, was shot multiple times and killed on December 9, 2021, in the rear parking lot near Broadway at the Wawa convenience store in Fountain Hill (Bethlehem area). The Lehigh County Coroner’s office ruled the death a homicide.

According to reports, Gudger had arranged through an online site to meet 23-year-old Jarrett Hunter Hein, who was selling a .357 magnum. After corresponding for more than a week they met in the Wawa parking lot; Hein showed the handgun, Gudger ran off with it, and Hein allegedly drew a 9mm Sig Sauer from his holster and fired multiple shots at Gudger as he fled. Hein then called 911 and was arrested and charged with criminal homicide, a first-degree felony, and held without bail.
