Rendell Joseph Dixon, 29, of Wilkes-Barre, was killed in a shooting during a music video recording session at the Holiday Inn East Mountain in Plains Township on November 11, 2020. The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. when a hooded gunman entered the room and opened fire. Dixon was found on a balcony, covered in blood and showing no signs of life; the Luzerne County Coroner’s Office ruled his death a homicide from a gunshot wound.

Two other people were wounded that night. Linroy Linton, 29, of Wilkes-Barre, suffered gunshot wounds to both forearms and the chest and was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. A woman with a gunshot wound to the head was hospitalized in critical condition.

Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation, including the Plains Township Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office. No suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced. Dixon’s brother said Rendell had been hired to shoot the video, had no prior knowledge of the others there, and was a father of five working to pursue his goals.

Did anyone attend that video shoot or have information about people who were at the Holiday Inn that night?
