David Glenn Focht Sr., 74, of Claysburg, Pennsylvania, was found dead at his Mountain Penny Lane home on September 11, 2018. The death was initially reported as an apparent accident, but an investigation later produced evidence that changed that account.

David’s wife, 71-year-old Nancy Lee Focht, was arrested on January 27, 2019. She first told investigators the shooting was accidental and that David had somehow discharged the firearm himself. Ballistic testing and other investigative findings conflicted with that account, and police say Nancy ultimately admitted to firing the fatal shot.

Family and neighbors have described the death as especially painful because it began as what looked like a tragic accident and later became a criminal case involving someone close to the victim. Does anyone have information about David’s last days or about the household on Mountain Penny Lane?
