Kenneth Everette was 22 when his body was found in the 14300 block of Flanders Street in Detroit in the summer of 2010. Authorities ruled his death a homicide, but no arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified.

Investigators say the case stalled largely because of a lack of witness cooperation, and the investigation was later classified as a cold case. The file remains open but inactive, leaving Kenneth’s family without answers and the community with an unsolved death on its record.
