On the night of April 10, 2010, 18-year-old Dwayne Lawson was found dead in a residential neighborhood on Detroit’s east side. Initial calls reported violence near Craft and Kelly Road, and investigators later located the homicide scene on the 15000 block of Wilfred Street, a few blocks from that intersection. Lawson, a Black male, was fatally wounded and the Detroit Police Department classified the death as a homicide.

Detectives interviewed potential witnesses and gathered evidence, but the circumstances leading up to the killing remain unclear. The case remains open and unsolved.
