Albert Swartz, a 30-year-old Black man, was found dead on April 6, 2010, in the 5800 block of Concord Street near East Grand Boulevard on Detroit’s east side. Responding officers discovered he had sustained fatal injuries; the circumstances of why he was in that residential neighborhood and what led to his death were not immediately clear.

Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and evidence as they tried to reconstruct the timeline that spring day, but few leads developed. The Detroit Police Department still lists the case as an unsolved homicide; no suspects have been publicly identified and no arrests have been announced.

If anyone remembers seeing Albert or unusual activity in the Concord Street area on or around April 6, 2010, please contact investigators with any information.
