Dewayne Lancaster, 29, was found dead in the courtyard of his Upper Darby apartment complex shortly before 1:00 a.m. on July 26, 2016. Police responded around 12:40 a.m. after reports of screaming and gunfire; shell casings and a trail of blood led officers to Lancaster, who was discovered face down in bushes with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and head and pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators treated the killing as planned and motivated by revenge. Police said the alleged motive dated to 2008, when Lancaster and Lawrence A. Lucas reportedly shared an apartment and Lucas later blamed Lancaster for helping to set him up in a drug case. Lucas, who had been released from prison in 2015, was stopped by officers near the 69th Street Terminal after witnesses reported seeing a man flee the scene. Surveillance video showed a Chevrolet Equinox circling near the area and later parked about a block away; police said Lucas had car keys, appeared out of breath and sweating, and there was possible blood spatter on the brim of his hat.

Does anyone have information about Lancaster, his routine at the apartment complex, or the people he was connected to that could shed light on what happened that night?
