In early January 2016 a concerned citizen reported a vehicle parked along Monica Court in Mansfield Township, New Jersey. Officers who checked the silver Dodge Avenger found 68-year-old James Dewyer inside; he had been fatally shot. Dewyer’s last known address was in Burlington Township, and he had reportedly been living in area motels for a few years before his death.
Investigators from the Mansfield Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office identified 35-year-old Quinnizel J. Clark of Belleville as a suspect. The two men were acquainted and had spent time together the day Dewyer was killed. Evidence described in the investigation indicates Clark drove Dewyer’s car to the residential street, shot Dewyer multiple times, then left on foot.
Clark was arrested on July 8, 2016, and charged with murder and weapons offenses. Does anyone have information about Dewyer’s movements or contacts in early January 2016?
