On November 17, 2014, 17-year-old Diondre Dozier was shot and killed in the Sheraden neighborhood. He was found bleeding and unresponsive on Glen Mawr Avenue and was later pronounced dead at Allegheny General Hospital. Reports say Diondre suffered a chest wound during a shootout that also left 18-year-old Martin Brown dead.

Police recovered three guns and multiple shell casings at the scene, and a witness described hearing gunfire from different directions. Authorities charged 24-year-old Michael St. Clair of Beaver Falls in connection with both deaths; he was arraigned on criminal homicide, conspiracy, robbery and weapon counts and was held without bail pending a preliminary hearing.
