On the evening of March 24, 2005, a home invasion in Southaven, Mississippi, left resident Bruce Lewis dead. The shooting happened at about 6:50 p.m. at a house on Sarah Ann Drive South after an unknown man entered and confronted Ivy Lewis, demanding money. Bruce Lewis came into the garage from the backyard and was confronted by the intruder; during that confrontation the suspect fatally shot Bruce and then fled on foot.
Witnesses saw the man running toward Tchulahoma Road while talking on a cell phone. He was described as a tall Black male, about 6 feet tall, medium to dark complexion, short hair or possibly bald, with possible facial hair around his nose and chin, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. The Southaven Police Department investigated and a reward was offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
Does anyone who lived in that neighborhood in 2005 remember seeing someone matching that description or overhearing a call that night?
