Skylar Hawn, 24, was one of four people found shot to death at a Riceville residence on September 25, 2021. The other victims were 36-year-old Trevon Hall, 40-year-old Jesse Dupree, and 39-year-old Brandi Harris. Authorities say the killings arose from a custody dispute over a 10-month-old child.

Investigators report that Jazzmine Jacole Hall and Curtis D. Smith arrived at the home and that an altercation between Jazzmine Hall and Trevon Hall escalated into a violent confrontation. Two other people at the residence survived and alerted police; the infant was taken when Jazzmine Hall and Curtis Smith fled the scene.

Those two defendants were later taken into custody. Jazzmine Hall pleaded guilty to murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, and arson and was sentenced to four consecutive life terms without release; Curtis D. Smith was convicted and received four consecutive life terms without parole. Did anyone in the Riceville or Athens area know Skylar Hawn or have information about that night?
