Patrick Jamal Washington was 32 when he was executed in April 2021 in a parking lot on Dickerson Pike in Madison, Tennessee. Lake then drove the vehicle with Washington’s body to Warren County, Kentucky, and left him in a ditch off Interstate 65. She returned to the Nashville area and abandoned the blood-soaked Jeep on the shoulder of I-65 south, where the vehicle’s blood and bullet holes were later observed.

Washington’s father reported him missing the Monday after the vehicle was found; the body was discovered the following day in Kentucky. Nashville Cold Case-Homicide detectives led the investigation, identified Lake as the primary suspect, and within days arrested and charged her. A Davidson County jury later convicted Lake of first-degree premeditated murder and tampering with evidence; the murder conviction carries an automatic life sentence with a minimum of 51 years to be served. There is at least one remaining scheduled sentencing detail related to the tampering count.

If anyone knew Patrick’s movements that weekend or saw the Jeep Commander on Dickerson Pike or I-65, please share what was seen.
