On January 20, 2021, 62-year-old David Thomas Rodgers was killed at a home on Westwood Drive in the Sango area of Clarksville, Tennessee, in the same incident that left his 30-year-old daughter, Rachel Konen, dead. Investigators reported that Rodgers had been beaten to death while Rachel Konen had been shot.
Early in the investigation Rachel’s husband and David’s son-in-law, 31-year-old Matthew Konen, a paramedic with the Nashville Fire Department, told dispatchers during a 911 call that Rodgers was the attacker and that Konen had pistol-whipped him in self-defense after Rodgers allegedly shot Rachel. Authorities later arrested Matthew Konen on May 4, 2021, charging him with two counts of first-degree murder. He was placed on non-public duties by the Fire Department.
If anyone has information about what happened that night on Westwood Drive, please come forward.
