On the evening of September 20, 2020, 19-year-old Kenneth Anderson Jr. was found inside a home on Dutch Valley Drive in Knoxville with at least one gunshot wound. Emergency responders pronounced Anderson dead shortly after arriving and the Knoxville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit opened an investigation.

Detectives processed the scene and interviewed possible witnesses, but the initial inquiry did not produce an identified suspect. Officials did not publicly disclose the circumstances of the shooting or any possible motive, and no arrests have been announced. The killing was noted as part of a troubling rise in violent crime in Knoxville that year.

The case remains an open, unsolved homicide and the family has not received answers. Does anyone who was in the Dutch Valley Drive area on September 20, 2020, or who has other information about Kenneth’s death, have details to share with investigators?
