Late on the morning of May 28, 2020, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee police answered reports of gunfire at the Lawrence Landing Apartments on Oak Street and found two men fatally shot inside an apartment. Benjamin Allen Ben Cunningham, 28, and 38-year-old Corie J. Williams were both killed in what investigators described as a double homicide.
Detectives focused on 22-year-old Sebastian Arzadon of Summertown after evidence at the scene. He was located the same day hiding in a drainage ditch near Howard Street and taken into custody. Investigators said the motive was believed to be drug-related; another person, Reneisha L. Wiley, was also implicated and faced charges connected to the killings.
Arzadon was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses and later pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder. For Benjamin Cunningham’s death he received life without the possibility of parole; for Corie Williams he received life with the possibility of parole.
Did anyone in Lawrenceburg know Benjamin Cunningham or have information about what led to that May 28 shooting?
