Justin Adam Neves was 17 when he died of a gunshot wound to the head on April 10, 2020, in Clarksville, Tennessee. Born March 9, 2003, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was a junior at Northwest High School, active in the EMT program and on the track team, and remembered by family as a kind big brother.

On the night he died, Justin was working with a longtime family friend, Dominic Miceli, on home improvement and appraisals. The Clarksville Police Department responded at 9:22 p.m.; EMS pronounced Justin deceased at the scene. The death certificate lists the manner of death as homicide. Miceli initially told police Justin had shot himself, then later said the gun accidentally discharged while he was cleaning it. On August 11, 2020, Miceli was arrested and charged with reckless homicide and aggravated assault and released on a $100,000 bond.
