Shawn David Simms, a 36-year-old white man, was found dead from a gunshot wound in Madison, Tennessee on the morning of October 21, 2019. His body was discovered lying in a resident’s driveway on Walton Lane.

Surveillance footage showed Simms earlier that morning at a local convenience store buying cigarettes. He arrived and left in an older model white Chevrolet Impala with dark-tinted windows and at least one other person in the vehicle. That car and its unknown occupant or occupants became the focus of the police inquiry.

Detectives from the Madison Precinct asked the public for tips about the white Impala and who was with Simms that day. No arrests or suspect identifications have been publicly released and the investigation remains unresolved.

If anyone saw the white Chevrolet Impala on Walton Lane or at the convenience store on October 21, 2019, or has other information, please come forward.
