Lisa Lee Chandler, 44, disappeared from her home in Wolfe City, Texas, on September 23, 2007. She was last seen that afternoon at her residence in the 5500 block of Highway 34 North. When family could not reach her, they found the house unlocked, windows open, her purse and cigarettes left behind, her vehicle on the property, and her dog loose in the yard.
Bloodhounds tracked a scent from the home for about five miles south along Highway 34 before the trail stopped abruptly, which investigators said suggested she might have been picked up by a passing motorist. At the time of her disappearance Chandler was being treated for schizophrenia and was taking medication. There has been unconfirmed speculation about possible connections to drug-related activity among people she knew.
The case remains open. Anyone with information about Lisa Chandler is asked to contact the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.
