Jason Walton Glass was 35 and lived in Summertown, Tennessee when he was shot and killed on July 12, 2019, in Woodbury. He worked as a diesel mechanic. The shooting occurred during an altercation at a residence on Sunny Slope Drive with an acquaintance, 36-year-old John Daniel McPeak, who fatally shot Glass.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation handled the probe and identified McPeak as the person responsible for Glass’s death. In January 2020 a Cannon County grand jury returned an indictment charging McPeak with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, theft of property, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and employing a firearm with intent to go armed, and he was arrested to face those charges.
Are there witnesses or local details about the Sunny Slope Drive residence or the events that led up to the altercation that anyone can share?
