On the night of June 2, 2019, Martin Guthry, 46, was found gravely wounded inside a vehicle in a driveway on East Stagecoach Road in Greene County after a gunshot to the head. Deputies responded around 9 p.m.; because of the severity of the injury Guthry was flown by medical helicopter to Johnson City Medical Center and listed in critical condition. Early reports released by authorities gave few details beyond where he was found, his transport to the hospital, and that no arrests had been announced as investigators worked the scene.

Accessible accounts provide little else about investigative findings, a formal ruling, or any courtroom proceedings.

If anyone knew Guthry or was in the area that night and has information about what happened, please share what is known with investigators.
