Toron M. Thomas Jr., 30, was shot and killed on the evening of Sunday, February 10, 2019, at an apartment complex on Bethel Road in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Friends and family called him Mickey. Authorities believe Thomas was the target of a home invasion and that the motive was robbery.

Investigators focused on 19-year-old Keshawn L. Spivey based on home surveillance footage and witness statements that placed him with Thomas earlier that night at a social event. A warrant for Spivey’s arrest was issued; he surrendered to police on the morning of Wednesday, February 13, 2019, and was booked at the Downtown Detention Center.
