On the afternoon of December 10, 2018, 75-year-old Billy J. Huskey was shot at his home on Bob Hollow Road in Sevierville, Tennessee. He was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville but died later that day. Law enforcement responded after a 911 call reporting the shooting.
Investigators focused on a woman who fled the residence on foot before officers arrived. A search of the area led to the apprehension of 38-year-old Krista Faye Owens in nearby woods; she was initially taken into custody on an unrelated outstanding warrant. In early January 2019 a Sevier County grand jury indicted Owens on multiple charges in connection with Huskey’s death, including first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, and attempted first-degree murder. Owens was held on a $750,000 bond pending arraignment.
Does anyone have information about Huskey, his movements that day, or the events on Bob Hollow Road?
