Trell Travis Terry, 23, was shot to death in the early morning of July 11, 2018, in Covington, Tennessee. He was found behind a truck in a driveway in the 700 block of Hill Avenue after at least eight shots were fired; the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation placed the incident at about 1 a.m. Terry was an African American father of three with another child on the way. His death was the city’s first homicide of 2018.

Covington Police Department led the investigation with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
