Chester Falterman, a 65-year-old White male and cardiologist long affiliated with St. Thomas Heart in Murfreesboro, was shot in the neck and killed at the OK Corral Shooting Range in Woodbury, Tennessee, on July 4, 2018. The Cannon County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an apparent accidental shooting at about 4:00 p.m., and early comments from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said foul play was not suspected.
An autopsy was performed, but the medical examiner could not determine the manner of death, leaving accident, self-inflicted wound, and homicide as unresolved possibilities. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation later took the case at the request of the 16th District Attorney General. Authorities have not publicly detailed the circumstances of the shooting, and no arrests or named suspects have been announced.
What information do readers have about Dr. Falterman’s activities that day or anyone who might have been at the OK Corral Shooting Range?
