In the late afternoon of November 20, 2017, 28-year-old Rayquan Hudson-Lyle was fatally shot on the front porch of his home in the 200 block of Mitchell Street in Clarksville, Tennessee. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 4 p.m.; Hudson-Lyle was taken to Tennova Hospital and later pronounced dead. He was a Black male and his death became one of thirteen cold case murders listed by the Clarksville Police Department as investigators sought public leads.

The loss has been deeply felt by his family, especially his father, who spoke publicly about wrestling with forgiveness while wanting justice. In October 2022 authorities announced arrests in the case: Shamar Blount was charged with first-degree felony murder, and Khavell Williams was also facing the same charge, with Williams reported to be in a separate correctional facility. Police said the investigation remained active and that additional arrests could follow.

If anyone knew Rayquan, saw activity near Mitchell Street on November 20, 2017, or has information that could help the ongoing probe, please come forward.
