Three members of a Clarksville family were killed at home on Mills Drive on September 14, 2017. Three-year-old Kayden Jay Hazel, his nine-month-old sister Jaylynn Hazel, and their 23-year-old mother Keara Hazel were found shot to death after police responded to the residence. Neighbors reported hearing a woman’s scream before officers arrived.

Their 27-year-old father and husband, Jordan Hazel, was at the house and taken into custody. He told detectives he had retrieved a shotgun a friend had been keeping for him, returned to the home, shot Keara, left briefly, then came back and shot the two children. He said he believed killing his family would solve problems. Jordan Hazel was charged with three counts of first-degree murder; he later pleaded guilty and received lengthy prison terms.

Does anyone have information about the family’s last day on Mills Drive or saw anything in the neighborhood that morning?
