William Edward Eddie McDonald was 18 when he was shot and killed at a party at the Country Squire Apartments in Cordova, Tennessee, on the night of December 10, 2016. A recent graduate of Christian Brothers High School and a student at Southwest Tennessee Community College, he had said he wanted to become a police officer. He was found with an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene; his mother said he died trying to save a friend.

Reports say an argument began when two males and a female were denied entry to the gathering. After walking away, those individuals returned and opened fire on people inside the apartment. McDonald’s death was recorded as the 217th homicide in Memphis in 2016, a new city record at the time.

Following the shooting, arrests were made: Aaron Marr and Jeylon Harvey were charged with first-degree murder and related counts, and a third person was later charged in connection with the killing; the suspects were being held without bond pending court appearances. Did anyone at the Country Squire Apartments that night see who fired or have other information about what happened?
