Gary Alan Larsen was 28 when he disappeared after a night out in Redmond, Oregon. He was last seen on September 16, 2001, leaving in a white 1995 Dodge pickup with Oregon plate XTN945 after driving a friend home following breakfast at Shari’s. Gary had recently moved to La Pine to live with his mother but still spent time in Redmond; he was unemployed at the time after prior work for Hap Taylor & Sons Inc., now Knife River Corporation.

Friends and acquaintances in the Redmond area reported no contact after that morning. The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office lists his case as endangered missing; investigators have said foul play is suspected and noted Gary associated with people involved with drugs, but no definitive links have been established. Neither Gary nor his truck has been found.
