On the evening of December 16, 2015, 20-year-old Clarence Evans was fatally shot during what investigators describe as an armed robbery at a residence on Watkins Street in Ripley, Tennessee that also operated as a neighborhood barbershop. Two other people were wounded and taken for treatment; emergency responders found Evans had succumbed to his injuries.
The Ripley Police Department opened the homicide investigation and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation joined the case. Investigators have described the matter as an active, unsolved homicide and the TBI is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. No arrests or names of suspects have been announced.
Does anyone from Ripley who was in that area in December 2015 or who knew Clarence have information that could help investigators?
