Alan Emanuel Johnson was 19 when he was killed in Knoxville, Tennessee. He had moved from Boston to live with his father and brother and was working at a McDonald’s while planning to continue his education. Neighbors described him as kind, outgoing, and loving.

Johnson was found in the front yard of a home on Woodbine Avenue with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators believe he was shot at a different location the previous night and ran to the Woodbine Avenue address before collapsing. His death was recorded as December 12, 2015.

In February 2017 Knoxville police arrested 30-year-old Jeffery Stokes, charging him with first-degree murder and reckless endangerment. Law enforcement said Stokes had gang ties and that the shooting was a case of mistaken identity; Johnson was described as an innocent young man with no criminal record who was walking home from work when he was killed.

Did anyone in Knoxville know Alan or have information about the night of December 12, 2015?
