Samuel Andrew Johnson Jr., of Ripley, Tennessee, was shot and killed at Keeley’s Entertainment Center, 137 Watkins Street, in November 2015. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Ripley Police Department opened a homicide investigation at the request of the 25th District Attorney General.
Authorities identified Jessie James Somerville as the person who shot and killed Johnson. A Lauderdale County grand jury returned an indictment against Somerville on October 2, 2017, charging him with First Degree Murder and Felony Reckless Endangerment. Somerville was arrested on October 9, 2017; at that time he was already incarcerated at the Morgan County Correctional Complex and was booked into the Lauderdale County Jail and held without bond.
Does anyone have information about Johnson’s time at the venue that night or witnessed events at Keeley’s in November 2015?
