Colton Keith Tilly, 22, of Jackson, Tennessee, died after a high-speed vehicle pursuit on the night of Friday, October 9, 2015. A Madison County Sheriff’s deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Tilly; the reason for the initial stop was not disclosed. Tilly fled and the chase ended near the West Tennessee Experiment Station when his vehicle crashed. Tilly was fatally injured in the collision.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the crash, and the deputy who initiated the pursuit was placed on paid administrative leave while the inquiry proceeded; the deputy’s name was not released. Public reports do not say whether there were passengers in Tilly’s vehicle, what prompted him to flee, or if any arrests followed.
Does anyone have information about the events that night or knew Colton and can help fill gaps in the timeline?
