Trevor Littell, 15, died after a firearm discharge at his family’s home on Perkins Trail in Deer Lodge, Tennessee, on the evening of Tuesday, February 3, 2015. According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Trevor had taken a gun from a safe and the weapon discharged, inflicting a fatal wound.

Sheriff Glen Freytag said investigators found no indication of foul play and that the evidence pointed to an accidental shooting. With that finding, no arrests were made and there were no suspects; the case was closed as an accidental death. The loss left family and the small community mourning.
