On the evening of April 9, 2014, three men were shot dead near a group of campers and RVs on Kelly’s Ferry Road in Lookout Valley, Tennessee. Victims included 53-year-old John F. Lang, plus 29-year-old Caleb N. Boozer and 24-year-old Jon E. Morris. Authorities described the attack as targeted rather than random, and said the people involved were known to each other.
A 16-year-old who survived being shot escaped and identified one of the assailants as 19-year-old Derek Morse of Lookout Valley. Morse was arrested and initially charged with attempted criminal homicide; charges were later upgraded to three counts of criminal homicide. Investigators also identified a black Hyundai believed to be used by the shooters, which led to a second arrest. Jacob Allison was charged with being an accessory after the fact for his alleged role in events surrounding the murders.
Does anyone have information about that night on Kelly’s Ferry Road or the people who were there?
