Jack Davis Jr., a 76-year-old white man, was murdered at his Goodlettsville, Tennessee home on the evening of March 29, 2014. He lived and conducted vehicle-buying business on Springfield Highway, and investigators say that cash kept for transactions may have made him a target.

Around 9:15 p.m., two masked men described as Black forced entry into Davis’s residence. They were armed and demanded money; shots were fired during the confrontation and Davis was fatally wounded. A 64-year-old friend, John Webb, was also shot but survived and made a 911 call. The suspects fled in an older light-colored pickup truck with a square front end.

Madison Precinct detectives interviewed associates and regular visitors to Davis’s home and pursued a theory that his cash dealings motivated the attack, but no arrests have been announced and the suspects remain at large. Have any readers from Goodlettsville seen or heard anything about an older light-colored square-front pickup in late March 2014?
